Technical Engineer

Position Overview
To manage a section of the build ensuring that the design is delivered accurately and that any changes are structurally sound and noted accordingly. Core Job Functions
To receive IFC drawings and sketches, taking action on the details
To take action on the RFI responses
To take action on the RFI responses
To take action on the engineers instructions
To receive and act on design changes
To complete work to the highest standard, ensuring a high quality product for the client
To be responsible for ensuring the draughtsman have the correct information for updating the ALEC shop drawings
To be involved in updates from the RFI’s
To be involved in updates from the DFC’s
To support the sub contractors in completing design calculations
To collect the information for as built drawings, passing it to the draughts man to complete the detailed drawing, then checking the details to ensure they are accurate
To support the sub contractor in producing as built drawings
To ensure all work is passed to the document controller for filing
To support the Coordinator and Manager by providing information for site queries
To provide procurement details of supplies needed

Requirements
Diploma level educated
At least 2 years experience in Construction Design
Expert knowledge of AutoCAD
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
