Salary Offered : Omani Riyal 600 – 1400 , 1 OMR : 164 INR = 65,000 to 2,29,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Manager-Electro Mechanical, the Estimation Engineer determines and develops the most suitable and economically feasible engineering methods for the Projects assigned. Also to estimate a timescale for a project to ensure the outlined deadlines
re met as per the clients / consultant / company procedures in a standard manner.

AUTHORITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY:

Accountable for timely completion of work entrusted to him and for effective implementation of the projects schedule in a effective manner as well as to prepare the estimate for the Tenders which the organization is participating.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To review estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with defined scope of work.

To attend the site visit and arrangement of attendees for site visits for RFQ’s / Tender if required.

It includes both vehicle and manpower.

To arrange the site visit and to prepare the site visit report for RFQ / Tenders and submit the same to the concerned immediate supervisor for further process.

To prepare and submit the estimation of RFQ’s and tenders to the concerned immediate supervisor.

To review the estimated BOQ for RFQ / Tender and its correctness of figures submitted by Contracts Secretary, after reviewed forward the same to the concerned Immediate

Supervisor.

Follow up of RFQ/ tender submission to the concerned in charge and to ensure timely

submission of the same.

Fully responsible for review of tenders offers for Major with the concern Internal Staff and with

the Vendor / Client representative.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Timely preparation of techno commercial evaluation sheet and submit the same to the

concerned immediate supervisor.

To review the whole tender documents for scrutinizing the technical points and to raise the

clarifications if any to the concerned.

To prepare the drafting of pre tenders clarification if any with the concerned clients.

Timely follow up of BIDBOND with Accounts Department and ensure the availability of the

same.

Timely follow up of site visit date with the clients and to ensure the same is not available with

the TENDER announcement.

To provide guidelines for solving the BOQ softcopy preparation by the Contracts secretary and

timely verify the same.

To coordinate with the concern for verification of tender submittal for appropriateness for

Major tenders.

To coordinate with Head-Procurement & Store / Concerned In charge / Vendors / Protection

Engineer for obtaining technical documents / specifications which is required as per the

Tender specified format or requirement.

To prepare a drafting of prebid / postbid clarification reply as per the inputs from the vendor or

requirements from the client.

To prepare documents for ISO procedure requirements especially Data analysis for tenders,

Tenders selection criteria , Estimation review record.)

To prepare a drafting especially for Project execution for all the Tenders submittal, Tender

specific supporting documents like tender schedules / attachments as per the tender

requirements.

To prepare / review of bill of materials for major tenders for Mechanical / Electrical discipline in

coordination with the concerned staff / Vendors.

To prepare bill of materials / BOQ for Major tender by considering the estimation as a whole in coordination with Electrical Mechanical & Civil discipline engineer in sMS Excel format with equations.

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY

Education:

JOB DESCRIPTION

B.S / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

B.S / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with more than 5 years of experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering

principals and techniques, of all general contract an subcontract documents, drawings and

specifications.

Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.

Thorough knowledge of building information modeling and its use in coordination of the

Mechanical and Electrical systems and other project systems.

Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications,

including Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes

of work and project schedule.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Communication skill and Interpersonal Skills are highly required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,

and the ability to adjust focus. He should require reasonably good health and physically fit so as to

coordinate the whole activities
