As a Technical Support Engineer you are the contact person for customers and colleagues with a technical question:
You analyze all the incoming technical questions from customers. You decide which questions you handle yourself and which ones you forward to the Project Engineers. Your customers are contractors, engineering firms, inspection bodies, …;
Besides giving technical advice, you make engineering calculations. You prepare technical submittals and price quotations for large construction projects in consultation with the sales department;
On occasion you run jobsite tests and visit jobsites for the projects you are working on;
You follow-up the technical advice given and coordinate the necessary action with the project engineers and the sales team;
You work closely together with the marketing team for all technical documents and technical marketing of engineered solutions ;
You will be part of the Engineering team and will report to the Technical Manager.
You have Engineering degree (construction or architecture);
You are a starter, or you have a first good experience in the construction industry;
You have a good knowledge of the construction processes. And you can easily deal with practical, construction strength calculations, reaction forces, …
You are proficient in MS Office and knowledge of CAD is a plus;
You have strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English,
You have a passion for construction and for technical advisory.

You are interested in what other opportunities the construction industry has to offer than becoming for example a jobsite manager or a stability engineer.
